So it’s definitely been awhile since I’ve written an article. So my apologies go out to my family and friends. So just a quick update as to what I’m currently up to.

RIT

School is still going good, can’t complain. I ended up changing my major from Web Development (New Media Interactive Development) to Criminal Justice. I should be finishing up with my Bachelors 2 winters from now so I’m pretty excited. As far as I’m concerned my top choices at the moment are FBI, NSA or Law Enforcement Officer. But we’ll see how things pan it as time draws near. At the moment I’m currently in the process of searching for an internship, as needed for my major and in order for me to graduate. So if anyone knows of an agency I can internship with please feel free to let me know.

EMT

I took the EMT course at the Public Safety Training Facility in Rochester NY last Winter/Spring and passed the class and passed the first state test (The practical). I’m currently waiting for my scores for my written test in order to know if I’m certified or not. Professor Terry Taylor did a great job of presenting the material. Couldn’t have wished for a better professor.

Web Development (XtremeDezigns)

I still plan on pursuing my web development business on the side. All though I originally went to school to pursue web development and graphic design, I realized that I’ve learned a decent amount from self education that the first year was a breeze. I was taking first and second year courses and flying through them as if I already knew the entire course load. Likewise, I also realized I didn’t feel like spending 40 years of my life staring at a computer screen. But in any hand, I’ll still be doing web sites and graphic designs for local businesses and friends on the side.

So first break’s done, and Thanksgiving break was fun! I spent some time with my (fraternity) brother’s house in Buffalo.

Second quarter just began and have to admit I have great impressions of it already. My professors so far have been pretty great. Seems like it’s going to be another awesome quarter. Haven’t gone to Writing Seminar or Soho Networking yet.

My Classes this quarter are

4. Writing Seminar
5. FYE

Unlike most colleges; RIT is based around a quarter system, so even though my friends will all be done with school for about a month, I just started my second quarter… We’ll have 3 weeks of school, then get 2 weeks of winter/christmas vacation and then come back for the following 8 weeks.

Man, vacation is definitely going to mess up my sleep cycle. It’s currently 6AM in the morning and I’m barely going to bed… Been doing a whole lot of nothing lately, playing xbox (Gears of War 2), drew for the first time in years, walked down the quarter mile for no reason (while it was snowing). Might I add that I think I’m getting a slight case of cabin fever! But seriously, cabin fever sucks.
